Holy Crap!

I never thought I would be so happy (once again) to see feces. Tonight around 8 PM Kristin had her first BM since the surgery. This is AWESOME news because it means that her colon appears to be working properly. Also after twisting some arms and making threats...Kristin finally received the TPN and it appears to be working already. She has some energy back and I know it will continue to build. I hope you all are as happy about her poop as I am because it means she just took a huge step towards going home.

You know when you're old when you consider pooping to be a highlight of your day!! Hope all is well and things continue to "move along". Kristin, get up and walk as much as possible, that really does help. Every day you will feel stronger, it just takes time. Rod, be patient with her, as you have been doing such a great job, she has been through alot, not that you haven't, but being a women is so different. Emotions will run rampent-stop, take a deep breath, and go on. The three of you will need some definite together time. You will have to let us know when we can help and in what capcity we can help out. We can only imagine what you have gone through-hell and back to put it mildly. Let us know what you need and how we can help out. Packards

Hi guys,
I can see the family resemblance already. Both Kristin (Dec 30) and Tori (Dec 25) grinning with NG tubes!!
Again thanks for letting us be part (cyber so far) of this journey - both the smiley and the scary parts.
Hope that family, friends, love and prayers make for a good glue to help ya hold it all together.
