Chubbs

Rod and I went to the hospital yesterday morning, to try to catch Victoria when she was awake. We were successful in that endeavor, and a little bit successful with the nursing!

We soon, like many parents with children in the NICU, will be faced with the difficult decision of slowly getting Victoria to breast feed successfully most of the time, or letting the nurses bottle feed her. At first, the choice seems so simple. But for most babies, bottle feeding is easier, they catch on more quickly, and could potentially come home sooner once they get the hang of it.

I didn't think the difficult decisions started until kids got older!!!

As far as Victoria's weight, she gained 75 grams last night (of course, she had two pretty stinky diapers after that!) and officially is up to 4-5; one pound more than when she was born!!!

You guys will make that decision and it will be the right decision for all 3 of you! Don't ever worry about what anybody else thinks! Victoria looks much more plump than when I saw her last week. Sorry I didn't make it down this weekend, but for sure next weekend. Keep up the upward swing! Love, Mom (Penny)

If there is anything that has been able to set our hearts at rest for you, it has been the string of good news items lately.

Thanks,
Jaj

I can't believe how good she looks, so pretty and peaceful, a little angel waiting to go home with you. She really is too stinking cute!!! Don't worry about the breastfeeding, do what is best for you and your family. No one will judge you by what you decide. I'm so glad she is doing well, hugs and kisses to you three. Packards

We miss you guys. In this current, and as usual, adorable photo of Victoria, she looks like her cousin Faith.
Many children move back and forth from the breast and the bottle with no problem. And should Victoria prefer the bottle, she can still receive breast milk if that's your choice. There is another advantage to the bottle, Daddy can take an active role in feeding too. A big hug to all of you. Love, Mom(Busha)
