Victoria loves dirt... no matter where she can find it. She digs in the ground, in my planters, in my plants in the house.

Saw that when Miss V stayed here last. I think the solution is a small pile of washed "pea gravel" to play in. Too small to get hurt (or ruin the lawnmower) and too large to get dirty in. We are planning this for her at our house.
"Welcome" to the newest gardener in the family. I'll let her help me garden next time she visits us in Lexington and she can just take a dip in the pool after or wash off with the hose. Isn't warm weather nice! Love and hugs, Mom

Pea gravel sounds like a good idea, although perhaps she likes the "getting dirty" part. Can't blame her. ;)
